Inspire Remixes | TRAXSOURCE

Gazzo feat. Farewell Luna "Inspire" was the inaugural release from Liftoff Recordings. The B-side showed off his versatility and featured the vocals of Jared Wohl, frontman of Farewell Luna. "Inspire" made waves online when it landed in the top 50 on Hypem's Popular Chart weeks before its official release. Gazzo's approach on "Inspire" takes the best of a progressive house anthem and employs just enough edge to truly make it stand out.

The remixes from Jai Wolf, Andrea Rullo and Xristo build upon Gazzo's creativity offering the same versatility which made the original stand out. The mixes range from dubstep and tech house to a big room progressive mix highlighting the vocals of Jared Wohl.

Farewell Luna’s Jared Wohl Gives Music Heart and Soul | Vicissitude Magazine (Patrick McNulty)

“Music does have qualities which are transformative upon a listen, doesn’t it?  Bound only by the melodies we perceive when in tune with the sound, we give a weight to its performance, transitive in its carried moments.  A D-minor note can carry a consoling effort when the mood is struck with sullen accord or a brightened sense when the day’s progression follows the sentiment.  Music has been, since its origins, an effort of emotion.  Whether captured by the musician or the listener, music, unlike any medium, has transformative qualities enough to give profundity to the sensations we conjure upon a feeling.

For some, the challenge which persists to bring about this quality, to radiate a fall breeze upon the carried chord, remains oft unsatisfied.  And for others, the word “challenge” doesn’t exist when in the right application.Such is the matter for Jared Wohl, a New Jersey based musician, who is better known by his stage name: Farewell Luna.

“You get off stage and someone comes up to you and tells you really nice things about your music and about your style, and I think that’s what really helps you realize that what you are doing is some good music and that people are appreciating it.”Wohl said.  “Bonding with the people that are really feeling your music.”

“That’s what makes it worth it.”

While Wohl’s words can be reported in such a manner, his decrees described with given tact and care, listen to his music or his voice when the conversation presents itself and the stated maneuvers from words and thoughts to feelings and emotions.  His true passion for his craft and for his art seem a raging pyre on the darkest night, and his idealism about the process and means are kindled in same.

And maybe that’s why it so easy for him convey an emotion his listeners can reciprocate with a fair listen.”
