We are all hearing about Crowdfunding these days.  Do you know how it works, which platforms would work better for your business?  Andrew Scharf, VP, Ourcrowd, will moderate a panel comprised of both profit and nonprofit business leaders who have successfully raised capital through crowdfunding.  OurCrowd is a hybrid venture capital/equity crowdfunding platform that enables accredited investors from around the world to invest in Israeli and global early stage companies.  OurCrowd is making headlines, as the one of their portfolio investments is the first crowdfunded company to go public. They have invested over 60 million in 50 companies since their inception less than 2 years ago.

Apploi, a NYC start-up provides job recruitment for customer service positions either by App or through Kiosks. Seekers only need to fill out their information once, and employers can learn more about prospective candidates than resumes provide. They are currently in 15 US cities, abroad, and growing.

The WAVE Set was founded from the family experience of one brother needing a liver donation and the other brother stepping up as a live donor.  Their mission is to spread the word that we are vital to each other, and their first step was to raise money to produce a documentary through crowdfunding to share their story and shed light on the need for organ donations to save millions of lives going forward.

What better way to get an understanding of this funding platform that is providing options for a broader spectrum of start-up businesses than to hear from those who have successfully accessed this platform?
